The Triptones are a trio who hail from the Great State of Texas. While their influences are diverse, mainly chicken and a cold beer, they are best described as a Hard Swingin’, Jump Blues band, with a large splash of Country and Americana.
Chad Altenbaumer, the vocalist and guitarist comes at you with over 20 years of musical experience. His sweet chords and incredible leads are fabulous. His vocals capture you with the stories of women, wives, and wine. Be it a whaling slide riff or a beautiful chord, Chad is ever tasteful.
Jason "Snocone" Jones keeps the low end thumping on the Bass. Jason has 17 years experience under his belt. Jason is the arrangement king. He knows just how a song should go down. His technique on the bass is second to none and his timing is impeccable. Whether were swingin’ or slow bluesn’, Jason rules the low end.
Chris Lancaster is on the drums and backing vocals. Chris has been beating the skins for 15 years now. He can lay down a beat that will move the house! His backing vocals also add just the right touch to the trio. When its time to kick it, Chris "Goes Crazy".
The Triptones have the experience to make your club, party, or festival really jump. Some of the venues that they have played are, Greenville Bar & Grill, The Granada, Blue Cat Blues, New Dixie Theater (Memphis), Lakewood Bar & Grill, The Bone, Hole In The Wall and many others.
The Triptones have played with Greats such as Blondie Chaplin, of The Rolling Stones, The Late Great Sweet Sam Myers, Barefoot Curly Miller,
Blackberry Smoke, Mark David Manders, and Miles From Nowhere. They have opened for acts such as Amos Lee, Lee Rocker, and Bugs Henderson.
